9 new tools in Kali Linux 2026.2

The new Kali Linux (2026.2) release is now available for download, featuring 9 new tools:

• arsenal-ng • hydra-gtk [re-added] • legba • oletools • penelope • shell-gpt • tailscale • tookie-osint • uro

In addition, this update optimizes virtual machine boot. Prebuilt images no longer include graphics firmware, and installation images now detect if the setup runs inside a VM — in that case, graphics firmware isn't installed. This reduced the initrd size from ~200 MB to ~60 MB and cut boot time by ~3x.
