In 2024 Apple released the product Private Cloud Compute (PCC) — an infrastructure for cloud-based processing of Apple Intelligence requests with a focus on security. According to the company, this cloud uses the same technologies and provides security comparable to physical Apple devices, and personal user data sent to PCC isn't accessible to anyone other than the user — not even to Apple (sic!).
