**Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions** Microsoft Windows versions prior to the fixed version **Description** The issue is related to improper validation when copying data from user mode to kernel mode in the Windows OpenType Compact Font Format (CFF) driver. This allows local users to execute arbitrary code. An attacker who successfully exploits this issue could run arbitrary code in kernel mode, potentially installing programs, viewing, changing, or deleting data, or creating new accounts with full user rights. **Recommendations** For Microsoft Windows 2000 SP4, XP SP2 and SP3, Server 2003 SP2, Vista SP1 and SP2, Server 2008 SP2 and R2, and Windows 7, update to a version that includes the fix for the OpenType CFF Font Driver Memory Corruption issue. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
