**Description**
The issue allows local users to modify access restrictions in hosts.deny and gain root privileges by creating temporary files before automatic IP blocking is performed. This is due to the host-deny.sh script writing to temporary files with predictable filenames without verifying ownership.

For OSSEC versions prior to 2.8.1, update to version 2.8.1 or later to resolve the issue.
