Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions StackGuard versions prior to 1.21
Description The issue allows remote attackers to bypass security mechanisms by using a non-linear attack that directly modifies a pointer to a return address. This is achieved without relying on a buffer overflow to reach the return address entry itself.
Recommendations For versions prior to 1.21, update to version 1.21 or later to resolve the issue.
