Description The issue allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files by exploiting a directory traversal vulnerability. This is achieved by using a .. (dot dot) and a null character in the ALTERNATE TEMPLATES parameter for various mmstdo*.cgi programs.

Recommendations For versions prior to 3.1, update to version 3.1 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the ALTERNATE TEMPLATES parameter in the affected mmstdo*.cgi programs until a patch is applied.
