Description The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, specifically preventing the display of new mail, by sending a mail message containing a dot (.) at a newline. This dot is incorrectly interpreted as the end of the message.

Recommendations For Mozilla versions 1.0 and earlier, update to a version later than 1.0 to resolve the issue. For Netscape Communicator versions 4.7 and earlier, update to a version later than 4.7 to resolve the issue.
