Description: The issue allows remote attackers on a local subnet to cause a denial of service, resulting in resource starvation and panic, via a flood of spoofed ARP requests. This is due to a problem in the arplookup function.

Recommendations: For FreeBSD versions prior to 5.1, update to a version later than 5.1 to resolve the issue. For Mac OS X versions prior to 10.2.8, update to a version later than 10.2.8 to resolve the issue.
