Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions MPlayer versions prior to 0.92
Description The issue is related to multiple buffer overflows in the asf http request function of MPlayer, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. This can be achieved by sending an ASX header with a long hostname.
Recommendations For versions prior to 0.92, update to version 0.92 or later to resolve the issue.
