Description The issue allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files or execute arbitrary PHP programs on the server. This is achieved by using .. (dot dot) sequences in the gedcom config parameter of the editconfig gedcom.php file.

Recommendations For phpGedView versions 2.65.1 and earlier, update to a version later than 2.65.1 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the editconfig gedcom.php file to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the gedcom config parameter in the affected file until the issue is resolved.
