Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: ArGoSoft FTP versions 1.4.2.4 and earlier
Description: The issue allows remote attackers to guess passwords via a brute force attack because it does not limit the number of times that a bad password can be entered.
Recommendations: For ArGoSoft FTP versions 1.4.2.4 and earlier, consider implementing a password attempt limit as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the login functionality to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
