Description A cross-site scripting (XSS) issue exists, allowing remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML. This is possible via the highlite parameter in the "search.php" and "topics.php" files.

Recommendations For Invision Power Board (IPB) versions 2.0.3 and earlier, update to a version later than 2.0.3 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the "search.php" and "topics.php" files or avoiding the use of the highlite parameter until a patch is available.
