Description:
The issue allows local users to cause a denial of service via a certain command. Additionally, multiple vulnerabilities in the Quagga package can lead to a breach of protected information, and these can be exploited remotely.
Recommendations:
For Quagga versions 0.98 through 0.99, consider restricting access to the telnet interface to minimize the risk of exploitation.
For Quagga version 0.98.6 and earlier, update to a version later than 0.98.6 to resolve the issue.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability for some versions.
