Description The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code via a URL in the settings dir parameter in the admin/configset.php file when register globals is disabled.

Recommendations For Sphider versions 1.3 and earlier, consider disabling the settings dir parameter in the admin/configset.php file until a patch is available. Restrict access to the admin/configset.php file to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
