Description The issue affects the ECNE chunk handling in Linux SCTP, allowing remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in a kernel panic. This occurs when an unexpected chunk is received while the session is in a CLOSED state.
Recommendations For Linux kernel versions prior to 2.6.17, update to version 2.6.17 or later to resolve the issue.
