Description The issue allows remote attackers to bypass anti-virus controls by not scanning files on removable media when the "Scan network drives" option is disabled.
Recommendations For F-Secure Anti-Virus versions 2003 through 2006, consider enabling the "Scan network drives" option to ensure files on removable media are scanned. For F-Secure Internet Security versions 2003 through 2006, enable the "Scan network drives" option to prevent bypassing of anti-virus controls. For F-Secure Service Platform for Service Providers versions 6.x and earlier, enable the "Scan network drives" option to mitigate the risk of exploitation.
