Description: A buffer overflow issue exists in the WZFILEVIEW.FileViewCtrl.61 ActiveX control, also known as the Sky Software "FileView" ActiveX control, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. This is achieved by providing a long argument to the CreateNewFolderFromName method.

Recommendations: For WinZip version 10.0 Build 6667, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the CreateNewFolderFromName method until a patch is available. Restrict access to the WZFILEVIEW.FileViewCtrl.61 ActiveX control to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
