Description:
The issue concerns multiple vulnerabilities in the SiteBar package of the Debian GNU/Linux operating system, which can be exploited by a remote attacker who has passed the authentication procedure. This can lead to a breach of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected information. Specifically, there is an eval injection vulnerability in the translation module (translator.php) that allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary PHP code via the
edit parameter in an upd cmd action.Recommendations:
For SiteBar version 3.3.8, consider disabling the translation module (translator.php) or restricting access to the
upd cmd action until a patch is available. Avoid using the edit parameter in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
