Description The issue allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in the file parameter. This is a directory traversal vulnerability in the rb.cgi component.

Recommendations For RRDBrowse versions 1.6 and earlier, consider restricting access to the rb.cgi component until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the file parameter with .. (dot dot) sequences in the affected API endpoint.
