CVE-2007-1376

CVSS v2.0

7.5

Alta

VetorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions PHP versions prior to 4.4.5 PHP versions prior to 5.2.1 in the 5.x series
Description The issue is due to the shared memory (shmop) function failing to verify if the type of resource supplied is a shmop resource. This allows attackers to read and write arbitrary memory locations via arguments associated with an inappropriate resource, resulting in a loss of integrity and/or availability.
Recommendations For PHP versions prior to 4.4.5, update to version 4.4.5 or later to resolve the issue. For PHP versions prior to 5.2.1 in the 5.x series, update to version 5.2.1 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of the shmop functions to minimize the risk of exploitation.
