Description: The issue allows remote attackers to create or overwrite arbitrary files via a full pathname in an argument to the SaveLayout method, due to an absolute path traversal vulnerability in the ActiveX control.

Recommendations: For ActiveReports 2.0 Professional Edition version 2.5.0.1308 (SP5 RC), consider restricting access to the SaveLayout method until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using full pathnames in arguments to the SaveLayout method to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
