Description The issue allows local users to overwrite arbitrary files and execute arbitrary code via a symlink attack on temporary files with predictable filenames. This is due to a problem in the DataLoader::doStart function in dataloader.cpp.

Recommendations For QGit versions 1.5.6 through 2pre1, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the DataLoader::doStart function until a patch is available. Avoid using the vulnerable function to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
