Description The issue allows remote attackers to access restricted files via unknown vectors that cause rsync to create a symlink that points outside of the module's hierarchy when running a writable rsync daemon that is not using chroot.

Recommendations For versions prior to 3.0.0pre6, update to version 3.0.0pre6 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider using chroot for the rsync daemon to minimize the risk of exploitation.
