| Vetor | AV:N/AC:M/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Anon Proxy Server versions 0.102 and earlier
Description
The issue is related to a buffer overflow that occurs when user authentication is enabled. This happens when a remote attacker sends a user name with a large number of quotes, triggering the overflow during the escaping process. The result is a denial of service, causing an exception.
Recommendations
For Anon Proxy Server versions 0.102 and earlier, consider disabling user authentication as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the authentication module to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
