Description A cross-site scripting (XSS) issue exists, allowing remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the var:category parameter in the cgi-bin/webcm component. This can be demonstrated by a request for "advanced/portforw.htm" on the "fwan" page.

Recommendations For the D-Link DSL-G604T router, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the cgi-bin/webcm component until a patch is available. Avoid using the var:category parameter in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
