Description A use-after-free issue in the dissect q931 cause ie function in packet-q931.c in the Q.931 dissector allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in an application crash or abort, via certain packets that trigger an exception.
Recommendations For Wireshark versions 0.10.3 through 1.0.3, consider updating to a version where this issue is fixed, as using certain packets can trigger an exception due to the use-after-free vulnerability in the dissect q931 cause ie function. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
