Description The issue allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files due to multiple directory traversal vulnerabilities. This can be achieved by including a .. (dot dot) in the id parameter to "comm.php" or the var filename parameter to "viewrq.php".

Recommendations For nweb2fax versions 0.2.7 and earlier, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the "comm.php" and "viewrq.php" scripts until a patch is available. Avoid using the id and var filename parameters in the affected API endpoints until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
