Description The issue allows remote NFS servers to cause a denial of service by sending a certain response containing incorrect file attributes. This triggers an attempted use of an open file that lacks NFSv4 state, resulting in a NULL pointer dereference and panic.
Recommendations For Linux kernel versions prior to 2.6.31-rc4, update to version 2.6.31-rc4 or later to resolve the issue.
