Description The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in a crash, by sending a crafted SOAP request. This is a distinct problem from other known issues.

Recommendations For Novell eDirectory versions 8.8 SP5 Patch 2 and earlier, consider restricting access to the SOAP request parsing functionality as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
