Description
The issue is related to improper handling of MIME types by plug-ins, which can lead to multiple use-after-free vulnerabilities. This can allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service, resulting in an application crash. The problem is also related to the improper processing of MIME types, which can cause memory corruption.
Recommendations
For Apple Safari versions prior to 4.1.3, update to version 4.1.3 or later.
For Apple Safari versions 5.0.x prior to 5.0.3, update to version 5.0.3 or later.
For Google Chrome versions prior to 5.0.375.127, update to version 5.0.375.127 or later.
