Description The issue arises from the FS CheckFilenameIsNotExecutable function in qcommon/files.c, which fails to properly identify dangerous file extensions. This allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by creating a Trojan horse DLL file through a crafted third-party addon.

Recommendations For ioQuake3 engine version 1.36 and earlier, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
