Description The issue allows remote servers to cause a denial of service, resulting in an application crash, by sending an OIM message that lacks UTF-8 encoding. This is due to a problem in the msn oim report to user function in the MSN protocol plugin.

Recommendations For versions prior to 2.10.2, update to version 2.10.2 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the handling of OIM messages from untrusted sources until the update is applied.
