Description The issue allows user-assisted remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in a divide-by-zero error and application crash, via a crafted pcap-ng file. This is due to a problem in the pcapng read packet block function in the pcap-ng file parser.

Recommendations For Wireshark versions 1.8.0 through 1.8.1, update to version 1.8.2 or later to resolve the issue.
