Description The issue allows remote authenticated users to bypass intended access restrictions. This is due to the course/reset.php file checking an update capability instead of a reset capability, enabling users to perform a reset operation.

Recommendations For Moodle versions 2.1.x through 2.1.7, update to version 2.1.8 or later. For Moodle versions 2.2.x through 2.2.4, update to version 2.2.5 or later. For Moodle versions 2.3.x through 2.3.1, update to version 2.3.2 or later.
