Description The issue arises from Tweepy's failure to verify that the server hostname matches a domain name in the subject's Common Name (CN) or subjectAltName field of the X.509 certificate. This allows man-in-the-middle attackers to spoof SSL servers via an arbitrary valid certificate. The problem is related to the use of the Python httplib library.

Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
