Description The issue is related to the dissect oampdu event notification function in the IEEE 802.3 Slow Protocols dissector, which does not properly handle certain short lengths. This allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service via a malformed packet, resulting in an infinite loop.

Recommendations For Wireshark versions 1.6.x through 1.6.12, update to version 1.6.13 or later. For Wireshark versions 1.8.x through 1.8.4, update to version 1.8.5 or later.
