Description The issue affects the MySQL Server component in Oracle MySQL, allowing remote authenticated users to impact data availability using the Options subcomponent. The vulnerability is related to unknown vectors associated with the Options component.
Recommendations For Oracle MySQL versions 5.5.36 and earlier, update to a version later than 5.5.36 to resolve the issue. For Oracle MySQL versions 5.6.16 and earlier, update to a version later than 5.6.16 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Options subcomponent until a patch is available.
