VetorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Oracle Java SE versions 5.0u55, 6u65, and 7u45 Java SE Embedded version 7u45 OpenJDK version 7
Description The issue is related to the JNDI component, which allows remote attackers to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. It is claimed that the issue is related to missing package access checks in the Naming / JNDI component, which allows attackers to escape the sandbox.
Recommendations For Oracle Java SE versions 5.0u55, 6u65, and 7u45, update to a version that includes the fixes from the January 2014 CPU. For Java SE Embedded version 7u45, update to a version that includes the fixes from the January 2014 CPU. For OpenJDK version 7, consider disabling the JNDI component as a temporary workaround until a patch is available.
