Description The issue arises from improper creation of temporary files in the Update Manager, allowing local users to potentially obtain sensitive information, such as the XAUTHORITY file content, via a symlink attack on the temporary file.
Recommendations For versions 1:0.87.31.1 and earlier, update to version 1:0.87.31.1 or later. For versions 1:0.134.x through 1:0.134.10.1, update to version 1:0.134.11.1 or later. For versions 1:0.142.x through 1:0.142.22.1, update to version 1:0.142.23.1 or later. For versions 1:0.150.x through 1:0.150.4.1, update to version 1:0.150.5.1 or later. For versions 1:0.152.x through 1:0.152.25.4, update to version 1:0.152.25.5 or later.
