Description The issue allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands via shell metacharacters in the public key, specifically in the SSH key upload feature. This is due to a flaw in the lib/gitlab keys.rb file in gitlab-shell.

Recommendations For GitLab versions 5.0 through 5.4.1, update to version 5.4.1 or later. For GitLab versions 6.x through 6.2.3, update to version 6.2.3 or later. For gitlab-shell versions prior to 1.7.3, update to version 1.7.3 or later.
