Description The issue is related to the Windows Audio service, which improperly validates permissions under specific conditions. This could allow an attacker to elevate privileges on affected systems by executing web script in Internet Explorer via a crafted web site.
Recommendations For Microsoft Windows Vista SP2, update to a version that includes the fix for the Windows Audio service vulnerability. For Microsoft Windows Server 2008 SP2 and R2 SP1, update to a version that includes the fix for the Windows Audio service vulnerability. For Microsoft Windows 7 SP1, update to a version that includes the fix for the Windows Audio service vulnerability. For Microsoft Windows 8, update to a version that includes the fix for the Windows Audio service vulnerability. For Microsoft Windows 8.1, update to a version that includes the fix for the Windows Audio service vulnerability.
