Description
The issue concerns the FileSystem API in Google Chrome and Opera, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to bypass the SafeBrowsing protection mechanism for executable files. This is achieved by creating an executable file in a temporary filesystem and then referencing it using a
filesystem:http: URL.Recommendations
For Google Chrome versions prior to 40.0.2214.91, update to version 40.0.2214.91 or later to resolve the issue.
For Opera, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
