7.5

Alta

VetorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 43.0.2357.65 Opera (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to errors in handling pointers in the common/partial circular buffer.cc file of Google Chrome, which can be exploited by remote attackers to bypass the sandbox protection mechanism or cause a denial of service due to out-of-bounds write operations. This can be achieved by triggering a write operation with a large amount of data, utilizing the PartialCircularBuffer::Write and PartialCircularBuffer::DoWrite functions.
Recommendations For Google Chrome versions prior to 43.0.2357.65, update to version 43.0.2357.65 or later to resolve the issue. For Opera, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
