CVE-2015-8317

CVSS v2.0

5.0

Média

VetorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions libxml2 versions prior to 2.9.3
Description The issue allows context-dependent attackers to obtain sensitive information via an unterminated encoding value or incomplete XML declaration in XML data, triggering an out-of-bounds heap read. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to gain confidential information.
Recommendations For versions prior to 2.9.3, update to version 2.9.3 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of the xmlParseXMLDecl function until a patch is available.
