Description The issue is related to errors in the code of the MySQL database management system. It can be exploited by a remote attacker to disrupt availability by affecting the server. The vulnerability allows local users to affect availability via vectors related to the PS component. A high-privileged attacker with network access can compromise the MySQL Server, resulting in the ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash of the MySQL Server.
Recommendations For Oracle MySQL versions 5.5.47 and earlier, update to a version later than 5.5.47. For Oracle MySQL versions 5.6.28 and earlier, update to a version later than 5.6.28. For Oracle MySQL versions 5.7.10 and earlier, update to a version later than 5.7.10. For MariaDB versions prior to 5.5.48, update to version 5.5.48 or later. For MariaDB versions 10.0.x prior to 10.0.24, update to version 10.0.24 or later. For MariaDB versions 10.1.x prior to 10.1.12, update to version 10.1.12 or later.
