Description The issue allows remote authenticated users to affect availability via vectors related to DML, potentially resulting in unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash of MySQL Server. This can be exploited by a high-privileged attacker with network access via multiple protocols.

Recommendations For Oracle MySQL versions 5.6.31 and earlier, update to a version later than 5.6.31 to resolve the issue. For Oracle MySQL versions 5.7.13 and earlier, update to a version later than 5.7.13 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the DML component to minimize the risk of exploitation.
