Description The issue allows a high privileged attacker with logon to the infrastructure where Oracle VM VirtualBox executes to compromise Oracle VM VirtualBox. Successful attacks can result in unauthorized update, insert or delete access to some of Oracle VM VirtualBox accessible data, as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of Oracle VM VirtualBox accessible data and unauthorized ability to cause a partial denial of service of Oracle VM VirtualBox.

Recommendations For versions prior to 5.1.30, update to version 5.1.30 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Oracle VM VirtualBox component to minimize the risk of exploitation.
