Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Android for MSM (affected versions not specified) Firefox OS for MSM (affected versions not specified) QRD Android (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue occurs in the Linux kernel when performing sha and cipher operations, where a userspace buffer is directly accessed in kernel space. This can potentially lead to a page fault.
Recommendations For Android for MSM, consider applying configuration changes to restrict direct access to userspace buffers in kernel space until a fix is available. For Firefox OS for MSM, restrict kernel space access to userspace buffers as a temporary mitigation measure. For QRD Android, avoid using the affected kernel operations until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
