Description The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in an invalid memory read and application crash, via a crafted nsf file. This is due to a problem in the chk mem access function in the cpu/nes6502/nes6502.c file of the libnosefart.a library.

Recommendations For Nosefart version 2.9-mls, consider avoiding the use of crafted nsf files until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, restrict the execution of potentially malicious nsf files to minimize the risk of exploitation.
