Description The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in a stack-based buffer over-read and application crash, via a crafted gig file. This is due to a problem in the gig::DimensionRegion::CreateVelocityTable function in gig.cpp.

Recommendations For libgig version 4.0.0, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the use of the gig::DimensionRegion::CreateVelocityTable function until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
